This is a great example of a Model 1848 Belgian Cuirassier Helmet, and the first we have had the pleasure of offering in several years. This is the helmet worn by the Belgian Cuirassiers, or Heavy Cavalry from the 1840s up into the 1880s. The helmet is constructed of steel and brass with fine horse hair tail from the rear. It comes complete with it's original Helmet plate and original horsehair tufted plume. The
